The Enchanted Wood

It is especially important in the world today where life is lived at a super-fast pace, with so many expectations and pressures, and where so much revolves around technology for children to find nourishment and nurture away from that, in places that allow them to be themselves, to play, to explore and to develop healthy bodies and minds.

My final university project brought together ideas and techniques gathered in previous projects and stems from my desire to produce fun, bright and tactile designs for all children. I produced a range of designs that do not follow any gender stereotyping, designs that allow children to be children. I feel strongly that children should be surrounded by things that allow them to be children, to explore, to play and to imagine, but equally that allow them to escape to somewhere calm, relaxing and grounding.
